The completely bluish-grey kitten is indigo, or indy.  the other kitten is star, with the spot on her head.  star likes sitting on shoulders, and she will let you know when she needs attention, which seems to be most of the time.  indy must love us, as she's already marked her territory in 2 spots.  star just left us a hacked-up furball. to ease the transition for the girls, we went out and bought great fuzzy mice, ping-pong balls, and a feather on a string for them to play with.  turns out, they prefer stinky boxes and that funny little plastic thing that keeps milk jug lids from coming off.  go figure.   these pictures were taken on august 6th, 2000, 2 days after they came to live with us.  i can only imagine how things will turn out, down the road.
