Swope Park Disc Golf Course

Northeast corner of Gregory Blvd. and Elmwood Ave.
Kansas City, Missouri

The Swope Park Disc Golf Course is located on the western edge of Swope Park (the course is a bit behind Starlight Theatre), the United State's second largest city park, behind only Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. You can access a general map of the area, or, if you are a little familiar with Swope Park, you can see a close-up map to the course. These maps are with thanks to Lycos RoadMaps.

The course features 18 holes on a grass field with Mach III baskets and concrete tees. The present layout winds its way through dense trees and across somewhat hilly terrain. A portion of the course also travels along the side of Kansas City's New Zoo (don't worry, there is no smell). The course also contains a clubhouse with a deck. The course pro and manager is Rick Rothstein. There is no admission fee for this country-club-like course.

Although the weather in Kansas City does not change as rapidly as some other cities, it would be to your benefit to check the local forcast before heading to the course.
